Distribution of toys to children of military members collected through Operation Homefront is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at Pembroke Mall in Virginia Beach.
Operation Homefront and Dollar Tree teamed up for the ninth annual holiday toy drive. In 2014, organizers said the support of Dollar Tree patrons helped collect more than 7.8 million toys nationwide for military kids.
Operation Homefront leads more than 2,500 volunteers nationwide who provide emergency and other financial assistance to the families of service members and wounded warriors. More information about the holiday toy drive and the organization is available at operationhomefront.net.
